Star Trek Sell Out

Before this I never liked any of Star Trek movie... in fact I hated them... but seeing the trailer a few months ago, had emerged a sense of "I-must-watch-this" kind of feeling... And I wacthed it yesterday, after my Sociolinguistics paper... and it was awesome...
Cool effects
Full with action
Funny as well
the space ships battles, time and space warps will sure make ur jaw drop... Quite intense and full of explosions...
what made me laugh was John Cho, from "Harold and Kumar" played Sulu...
I was like, "Hmm? Harold? What the hell is he doing in this movie?"
not to mention the Russian guy Chekov... Damn he's funny
Seriously, you should watch it... It gives a new definition to the movie Star trek...
Anyway, that was yesterday...
Today I watched another movie...
Well, out of boredom (coz everyone's working nowadays) and for the sake of doing something, I went watch a movie...
instead of watching "Bohsia: JANGAN Pilih Jalan Hitam" (like what Alvin did... Pfff!) or "JANGAN Tegur", I watched this - "Sell Out"
It's a Malaysian movie and guess what, it's musical... I love the song - "Money, why you like rich people?" You can hear parts of it in its trailer...
Hilarious indeed but there are some disturbing scenes (I guess that what makes it 18PL) and for the first time, I could hear clearly the words "Bitch!" and "Bastard!" being uttered in a Malaysian movie...
and I think its the first time in a movie, there are parts where the audience have to sing while watching... There's a freakin' kareoke session in the movie!!
the movie is a Malaysia sattire where it mokes on how Malaysians are killing their dreams and creativity for the sake of making money... besides that, its gives out statements on art, society and cuture...
It's quite funny though some jokes are totally lame and trying to much... but it's worth a watch...

Just dropping a note. Those who are interested in getting the soundtrack to "Sell Out!", well, you can! By tomorrow most Rock Corner shops would have had stocks of the soundtrack CD to sell.
ReplyDeleteAnd, okay, I know the temptation is there to download the songs illegally ... but director Joon Han stated that he used his own money to fund the printing of the soundtrack CD and is dependent on it for his income, so do support original in this case, please!
Okey~

the soundtracks in the film are so good. much more better than local singers! love the song in the clinic which begins with supposedly i tell u that i love u somthing..
