Being born in the year of the rabbit of the Chinese horoscope, I always think that if there is such thing as reincarnation, maybe I was a rabbit in my previous life... Quiet, shy, and not to mention, cute... Yeah, and the cute part is not self-proclaimed... Ahhaha... I'm quite slow though... Maybe I was a sloth instead... Moving so slowly and quietly from branch to branch, being so lazy and easily be preyed by eagles and leopards... Hmm... Rabbit would be cooler... Besides, I wonder how sloths mate... Slow and steady huh??
Blerghhguehhguehh...
Anyway, my girl bought two rabbits... Two awesomely cute rabbits... Well, basically they're OUR rabbit since we shared money to buy them and their cage, food, toys, and other rabbit necessity items... One is Miguel and the other is Rokha... Bought them at Pahlawan Walk at a very low price...
Miguel was my girl's love at first sight... She saw him acting all cute and fluffy for the first time and suddenly she had the powerful urge to buy him... It was rather spontaneous... I gave the name Miguel... My inspiration was my former student, Miguel Koh... He and the rabbit kinda look the same and act the same...
Rokha was bought after a week we brought Miguel home... We decided to buy Rokha so that Miguel would have a friend to play and interact with... seeing them running around and lying down together never failed to bring a smile upon our faces... So what inspired us to give the little black with a bit of white rabbit the name Rokha?? Well, we were walking around Mahkota Parade after buying a steel cage for Miguel and were kinda tired... But we couldn't find any place for us to sit for awhile... So I thought that maybe we could just chill out in SenQ (the electronic store beside Thai Kuang) and watch TV... It was a perfect place to just sit for awhile after spending hours of walking for it was air-conditioned and there was TV for us to watch where Astro's Supersports was on... The name Rokha came up when we saw a footballer with the name Rocha on his jersey... Rokha's a cute name right?
Miguel is an active rabbit... Though quite emo sometimes... The first time we let him out into the room, he ran around the whole area and hopped like crazy though actually he was not really used to the environment... He enjoys freedom so much... Miguel loves to climb on boxes, pales, buckets and my girl's printer... He loves to be patted and rubbed... and hates to be caged...
Rokha on the other hand likes to eat, eat and eat... Being small, he often spend most of his time in the small food basket and munch...
Rabbits are not that hard to take care of... They can be toilet trained, the poops dont smell. .. They dont have to be bathed... U just need to make sure food and water are always available for them, watch out for their diet (dont just feed them with everything... they can choke if given wrong type of food), make sure the cage is clean and the most important thing is to rub and hug them... Rabbits are sensitive animals so u must treat them with care and never scream or hit them... or they'll turn violent...
I look at those two rabbits and I thought, buying them was a right thing to do because they are so adorable and watching them play and act cute can really bring my mind to ease...
