Hide... or be found

Breathing heavily, I tried to keep myself hidden from the sight of Kamarul by leaning closely to three banana trees at Makcik Sally's backyard... I learned from National Geographic that animals managed to hide themselves from predators by blending in with the colors of their surrounding, so I wore a green shirt to match the color of the banana trees... The heavy breath I let out from my mouth and nose blew away two red ants that was crawling on the trunk... I hoped those ants wouldnt bring reinforcements to take revenge on me...

Shit, there's Kamarul!! I pressed my body closer to the tree and stood still... I could see that Kamarul had caught all of my comrades and was now looking for me... He would not catch me because I'm perfectly blended in with this tree, I thought to myself... As Kamarul approached closer and closer to the spot I was hiding, my heart pounded...

Closer... closer... closer...

Suddenly, my feet felt wet... OWH MY GOD!! Slugs!! Snails!! Creeping on my legs!!

"Ark!!", I let out a short cry...

"Hahh!!! Jumpa pun kau!!"

Damn slugs... damn snails... I could have won that hide-and-seek game...

Anyway, that happened a long time ago... Yeah, when I was a kid... Owh, I miss my childhood... Hide and seek was my favorite game because I was damn good in hiding myself... I guess my Ninja ability was developed during that time...

I remember the time when my friends couldn't find me after seeking for more than half an hour... While he was still searching, I got bored of hiding and went back home instead... He found me later at my house as he was about to tell my dad that I was missing... Urmm...Yeah, he was kinda pissed....

After that, the kids in the neighborhood came up with new rules for hide-and-seek... You cannot hide inside your house... and the game can only be played within a specific area only... if you hide outside the area decided, you will be disqualified and never be allowed to participate in hide-and-seek ever again...

Haha... :-D
