THE STORY

The Decepticons rose from their last defeat and with careful planning, they managed to strike chaos again on earth... This time, the plan was to trick Optimus into reviving back the legendary Sentinel Prime from his slumber and ask him to activate his teleportation pillars in order to bring Cybertron to earth realm... Once Cybertron was brought to earth, full scale invasion shall commence and the Decepticons will enslave the humans to rebuild their proud mechanical civilization...

THE AWESOMENESS

CGI

I think I don't have to fully elaborate the awesomeness of the Computer Generated Image (CGI) effects present in this movie because from the last two prequels, audience would have already known what to expect from Dark of the Moon :- lots and lots of explosions and awesome robots transforming and brawling...

Every time those alien robots appeared and wrecked themselves up, I would be having orgasms of awesomeness...

Action

If given a chance, the second time I watch this movie, I would just skip the rest and go straight to the action scenes... They were epic... I could feel that there are so much effort being put into making the action scenes even better than the first and second installments... It's like the producers already knew that they wouldn't be able to impress audience with brilliant story lines and thus, they gave so much focus in making the action scenes exhilarating and engaging...

My mind was blown whenever Optimus got into battle mode... With his one liners; "DIE!!", "I WILL KILL YOU!!", "YOU WILL DIE!!", Optimus ripped apart the enemies' mechanical organs and slashed down their limbs... It's almost too cruel to watch...

Shia Labeouf

Shia was brilliant... At one moment, he was creating humor with his ridiculous screams and witty jokes, and a moment later, he successfully portrayed tense and suspense by always trying to be the hero in the war... His "bromance" with Bumblebee was heart warming and delightful to watch... I love the way he shed a tear by the time Bee almost got executed...

THE NOT-SO-AWESOMENESS

The Lack of Emotion

As promised, Micheal Bay tried to instill a sense of emotion into Dark of the Moon... Sadly, his attempts failed... The first attempt - the death of Iron Hide... Second attempt - tragic killings of humans during the DC invasion... Bay made an effort of touching the audience's heart by showing a lot of casualties from both the human side... Many humans got blown into bits and pieces which we didn't see in the previous installments... Third attempt - the execution of captured Autobots...

All of them failed to shed tears into the my eyes or even slightly moved me...

There were a few times when the movie tended to get a bit dark which was rather engaging... However, the darkness was not properly developed... Most probably because the producers want it to be appealing to children and adolescents...

The Story Line and Plot

I expected more from Dark of the Moon in terms of the story and plot because the trailers were amazing to watch... I hoped that the story would be a bit deeper as it's related to actual historical events such as the first human landing on the moon and the Chernobyl incident... However, typical for the Transformers movies, the story somehow always seemed a bit off...

My mind was screaming for a reboot...

ALL IN ALL

Despite the obvious flaws, I dare to say that I actually enjoy watching Dark of the Moon and the movie is so so so much better than the second one... In fact, I personally think that this one is the best among all three... Most of the enjoyment was contributed by the awesome action sequence and CGI effects... I was glad to see so much effort was put into making Dark of the Moon a success... So, make sure u don't miss it!!!

3 out 5 stars...

Owh, one more thing... People seemed to compare between Rosie and Megan... Most people say that they would prefer Megan than Rosie... However, I did find some who dig Rosie rather than Megan... Well, in my honest opinion, both of them suck...

Luckily, Dark of the Moon focuses so much on Shia Labeouf that I barely notice how bad Rosie's acting was... Though Rosie's the main female lead, her role was rather small... I guess that's why I don't hate Rosie as much as I hate Megan...

I would also like to inform that Shia has announced that this is his last Transformers movie... He doesn't want to be apart of the franchise anymore as it was too tiring for him to act in every single one of them... I wish they would make a reboot because of this... and if they do, I hope they would change the director and writer...
