Iron Man 3 (2013)

After the Avengers events in New York, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) suffered severe insomnia and panic attacks... Then, came the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) who publicly terrorized nations and declared war against America... Tony made the war against Mandarin personal after one of Mandarin bombings hurt Tony's friend and former body guard, Happy (Jon Favreau)...

The best thing about this movie is the actors & actresses were so great in acting their roles... The best acting combo for me is between Robert Downey Jr. and Ty Simpkins... They're so funny together... Though the one that I adore the most is Gwyneth Paltrow who played the gorgeous Pepper Potts... She's so badass in this one... She'd given a suit, super powers and got brutally cool... I love her!

The character that I like the least is sadly Don Cheadle as Rhodes / Iron Patriot / War Machine... It's not that his acting was bad but he was given a quite insignificant role in this movie... I pity him... Should've given him more screen time to shine as Iron Patriot by allowing him to join the climatic fight...

Another attraction of this movie is the humor... Like I said before, the combo of Downey Jr. and Simpkins were pleasantly funny... Yeah, I used the adverb 'pleasantly' because they're funny in a very heart warming way... "The prodigy son", Mark 42, also gave the audience something to laugh about...

Speaking of Mark 42, I love how they make the armors seemed alive... Even when they're in pieces, the armors appeared to have their own thoughts and personalities... or maybe it was just JARVIS...

What would make this movie better for me is more armor action... Before the movie, I was so stoked to the fact that more than one armor would be showcased and deployed into action... Therefore, I was a bit disappointed when they only show short glimpses of those armors in action at the climax... If I was the director, I would definitely show more of each armor's specialties and features... Of course, that would take too long since there were so many, but hell, I wanted to see more of Igor and Red Snapper!!

Besides that, I was a bit disappointed with the Mandarin... The mystery of Mandarin turned out to be just a joke... Like literally a joke... Pfftt... I was looking forward to see Mandarin's 10 powerful super rings like in the comic books... However, they chose to go through with the Extremis version of Mandarin...

All in all, I would like to say that I like this movie very much... The actors were great, Pepper Potts FTW!, the action scenes were great, the story was quite heart warming, the effects were so cool and we got to see the vulnerable side of Tony Stark... Though, I demand more action from other armors besides Mark 42 and Iron Patriot...

4 out of 5 stars
