The vampire squid (also known as the vampire squid from hell... Cool name huh?) is one of the most unique deep sea creatures in the world... It doesn't suck blood or anything but the name may came from its appearance which is rather freaky and scary looking... Apparently, it has the largest eyes in the animal kingdom where the diameter of the one eye is 2.5 cm (1 inch)... its arms (or tentacles) can regenerate if damaged or lost for being beaten by predators... The total length of this guy is 30 cm (1 ft), so dont worry, it wont be a threat to humans... but swimming with a nasty looking guy like this will surely give you the creeps... :-P
