The movie that turned Ridhwan straight...
TRON: Legacy is truly an eye-candy... The visual effects are stunning... The first moment Sam (Garrett Hedlund) entered the digital world, my jaw dropped for the computer generated image (CGI) was truly amazing... The thing I anticipated most was the battle of the lightcycles... The battle was indeed great as I left the cinema satisfied... This time, the battle track is transparent and multi-leveled, adding the excitement and suspense of the death race... Furthermore, lightcycles are not the only battle transport available this time... It's a good idea to come up with a variety of battle light-vehicles... I love the battle plane the most simple because it was equipped with a turret that shoot neon lasers...
Everything is neon and shiny... I'm sure u notice the battle suits... So freakin' cool... I wish I can get my hands on them and wear it in the dark just to embrace the coolness... The battle/memory discs were also... Damn, I ran out of words describing "cool"... Okey, lets do this again... The battle/memory discs are all men's dream toy... Even gay men would love to get their hands on those discs... Remember, u must hold the disc with the Tron battle pose...
The gladiator like disc fights were impressive...
The music was awesome... Daft Punk is totally the right match for this movie... I quote this from somewhere : "TRON: Legacy is indeed the techno answer of Avatar"...
However, I agreed with Ridhwan on the stiff acting... The characters were a bit emotionless... The story line was also not that good... Those are the minus points of the movie... Luckily, the action and cool effects managed to overcome the weaknesses... If u want to watch it on 3D, I guarantee that it will worth ur money because it is a 3D movie done right...
