Just Go With It (2011)

Saturday, April 02, 2011

The critics have been really harsh on this movie but there's something about its title that made me want to just go watch it... Urmm... Nahh... Actually, I wanted to watch it because of Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston... I came with low expectation, I left with satisfaction... This movie is so funny!!

STORY

A successful plastic surgeon, Danny Maccabee (Adam Sandler) had found himself a brilliant pick up line - "I'm married but I'm not happy with it"... That (and the fact that he's a doctor) had landed him with numerous one night stands... However, his lies backfired when he finally found the girl that could really connect with him; Palmer (Brooklyn Decker)... Unable to tell the truth, he decided to just go with the lie and helping him was his assistant, Katherine Murphy (Jennifer Aniston)... As more people were involved, they found themselves stuck in a bigger and stickier web of lies...

PLUS POINTS

The Script

I really had a great time watching this movie because the jokes were cleverly written and awesomely delivered... Well, what else can u expect from Aniston and Sandler? I dont quite get people who dislike Jen Aniston because she's really funny... and not to mention, hot... Even my girlfriend was like, "Wow... look at her body... She doesn't seem old at all..."... Oopps, going out of topic a bit there... Anyway, it's also very delightful that the script writer gave more focus on writing the jokes rather than the romantic parts...

The part that I laughed the hardest was when Micheal (or Barto) pooped on Eddie's hand during one night at Hawaii...

Besides jokes and romance, a bit of heart warming emotions were inserted... For instance, when the kids mentioned about their original father who was a jerk and never wanted to spend time with them... I could hear some of the audience giving an AWWWW... Poor child...

The Kids

The children were awesome... Bailee Madison who played Maggie (or Dikkie Dee) did well with that faked British accent... The brother, Micheal, who was played by Griffin Gluck was hilarious in subtle kind of way...

MINUS POINTS

I can't really think of any minus points for this movie... Maybe the story line is quite weak but the brilliant script and jokes managed to cover it up perfectly...

and hey, no Rob Schneider this time?

ALL IN ALL

Overall, this movie is great... I think this is the best Adam Sandler rom-com movie since 50 First Dates... If u feel like u wanna relax and have fun after a whole week of struggling with paperwork or study, then u should definitely watch this because it's very entertaining...

 LOL at this...
