Went to watch a midnight show of "Phobia 2" with my girl, her sister and Alvin on Friday... This movie is consisting of 5 short horror movies and the last one is always the best... Yup, the fifth one made the movie worth watching... Very funny!! If you have watched the prequel of the movie, "4bia", you would expect that the last story of "Phobia 2" would be the most terrifying... but it turned out to be hilarious... we laughed so hard that our eyes were in tears... Overall, it's a good horror movie... :-P
Then, yesterday, I went to see "The Fourth Kind" with Alvin... The things that attracted me to see this movie was that it was based on actual case studies (which means that it's a true story) and Milla Jovovich... It was actually a documentary on a study done by Dr. Abigael Tyler on the strange phenomenon that has been happening to the people of Nome, Alaska... The residences have been having trouble sleeping and they kept saying that the thing that has been interrupting them every night was an owl by their windows... The owl seemed to do nothing but stared... Stared deeply into their eyes and they couldn't do anything about it... But as they remember more of the owl, they realized that it was not an owl... It was something else...
The movie felt real because actual audio and video recordings of events were shown... it was rather disturbing...
Alien abduction... Dr. Abigael claimed that the people of Nome were having alien encounters where thousands have been missing, including her daughter, Ashley and more were traumatized by the memories of being abducted... An actual video of a man killing his whole family before killing himself as a result of being traumatized was shown... Very brutal... The most disturbing part was when the aliens tried to warn Dr Abigael to not to expose their existence to the world through a man's body...
Though Dr. Abigael supported her study with audio and video recordings, but the study has not been accepted by people because
- the part in the video where aliens came were distorted though only the voice was heard
- Dr. Abigael was depressed of her husband's death and this may resulted to hallucination...
- Aliens? There was no concrete proof that they exist...
If you're interested in aliens, go watch... in the end, it's up to you to believe or not...
By the way, some people are just too stupid to realize that they are not supposed to have a little chat in the cinema... Wayang bukan tempat bergosip...
