What if the earth SUDDENLY stopped spinning?

Well, the earth is currently rotating at the speed of 1100 miles per hour... The atmosphere (air) is moving at the same speed too... if the earth suddenly stopped spinning, the atmosphere would still be in motion... the atmosphere would be moving so fast, it would sweep earth's surface clean... Anything that was not anchored to the bedrock (humans, vehicles, sand, water, animals and etc) would be swept into the atmosphere... it would be like being swept by a monstrous hurricane... cities would become deserts...
 

Of course, the probability for that to happen is zero... Earth wont stop spinning suddenly... It will stop spinning gradually!! ahahah...

Do you know that the moon is drifting away from earth? Because of this, the earth is slowing down every year... Which means, the day is getting longer... In a couple of hundred million years, the earth will eventually stop...

So, what would happen then? 

Hmm... one half of the Earth would be in daylight for half the year while the other side would be in darkness... The second half of the year it would be reversed...

Because of that, the temperature would be extreme... One side of the earth would be extremely cold... the other would be extremely hot... You would have to migrate often to search for place with good temperature rate...

Besides that, earth would loose it's magnetic field... There would be no more 'northern lights'... and what's worse is there would be no protection against cosmic rays... you could get sunburned just by being in the sun for 1 minute... Not to mention, nuclear radiation from the sun, cancer, and etc... We all would become black... unless we lived at the colder side of course... 

Be thankful for the earth is still spinning...
