Will Montgomery (Nicolas Cage) was a high profile heist mastermind... During his last robbery, a member of his team, Vincent (Josh Lucas) went out of control and cost him his freedom... Being locked up for 8 years in prison, Will swore to abandon his ways of the dark and focus on his daughter... Vincent abducted his daughter and asked for ransom... 

Hollywood movie fans are all very familiar with the Nicolas Cage not turning down every single roll he's offered... From a legendary actor, he downgraded himself to ordinary level by starring in mediocre movies...

Stolen can be categorized as one of his mediocre films... For me, this movie is not bad... In fact, it's better than last year's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Drive Angry... It's just that, this movie is not that great either... There are no new ideas that can really WOW the audience...

The good thing about this movie is that it's quite cheesy... Not that it's funny but the mood set is good... I don't feel any depression while watching... It's most probably because of the superhero kind of music being played in the background and also how the characters all try to be so positive...

The bad thing is the plot... There's that lack of suspense element and the huge amount of clichés... Everything is like so predictable...

I don't think I need to elaborate about Nic Cage's acting... I mean, it's just the same in every movie... What change often is just his quirky hairstyle... I really damn hate his smile... It's pretty creepy...


As to summarize, I again would like to say that this movie is just a mediocre movie... No new ideas, no suspense, full of clichés... but then again, it's still worth the watch if u really want to pass time or simply have nothing else to watch (like me)... It's not bad, it's not good... It's ordinary...
