For the past few days, many people were eager to go and watch Contagion because of its star studded line of cast members and interesting tagline...

THE STORY

This movie followed the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that killed people in just within days... As medical teams all around the world strove to find out about the virus as it was alien to them and work on creating a vaccine, the virus kept on spreading and killing more people by the minute... AWESOME

Putting Together the Pieces

This movie was like a compilation of short video clips showing how different people were affected by the virus and how they coped with it... Shooting those clips was easy but putting them all together must be quite a task because the arrangement was not just chronological but also simultaneous between all characters...

The Cast Members

Each cast member had a limited time to shine because like I said before, this movie was a compilation of short clips... Nonetheless, despite the challenge, as renown actors and actresses, they delivered quite awesome performances... Gwyneth Paltrow as Beth Emhoff got the show started with a horrifying image an acute seizure attack...

I was amused by Jude Law's character - Alan Krumwiede, a controversial blogger, who was actively spreading rumors and conspiracy theories via the Net... Matt Damon also did great as Mitch Emhoff - a traumatized husband and father...

NOT AWESOME

Fear??

To me, this movie was educational... In other words, it was quite lame... The tagline "Nothing Spreads Like Fear" didn't depict the movie at all... It lacked suspense and thrill as the pace was quite slow and there were little raw emotions shown... Instead of focusing on drama, this movie was all about educating the audience on the effects of the spread of a deadly virus, how the virus was spread, who took action upon it and the counter procedures...

However, I'm not implying that this movie sucks big time... Personally, I think that it's just mediocre...

IN A NUTSHELL

If u are craving for action and suspenseful thrillers (like me), u gotta skip this movie... However, if u feel u have the need to feed yourself with information regarding a deadly airborne virus, go ahead and watch it... This movie could be the key to your survival in case a pandemic broke out in the future...
