After managed to get away from being terrorized by a group of Japanese soldiers, Aishah (Diana Danielle) was saved by Kamal (Remy Ishak) and taken to his village... Aishah had lost her memory due to her injuries and was invited to stay permanently at the village since hers was completely gone... It was not long before she learned about the existence of a cruel and wicked creature named Azazil that often brought blood and chaos into the village...

I have to admit that I'm not really a fan of horror movies because I hate being shocked again and again and again... My heart can't take it... Plus, I'm not really brave when it comes to supernatural stuff...

However, this movie is not like other horror movies I've ever watched... Yes, there are a few moments when they shove a very horrific and ugly face to your own face and if you're unprepared for them, you would definitely chock on popcorns... Yes, the main character is so stupid - she has the tendency to chase down weird things alone and get herself in trouble...

What's different with this movie is the twist and turns in its story...

First they throw you into a war with the Japanese with a first person view... and then they put a demonic and invincible creature into the picture and make you think, "What tree??"... Then, they sort of leave the tree issue behind for a bit and give you a wedding... and then, BOOM! More blood! and bloody limbs!

My point is, it's really hard to predict what comes next... There are so many twists and mindfucks that if you do not focus, you would definitely be lost...

I want to praise the story writer for being able to come up with the multi layered story... Watching this movie is like waking up from a dream to be in another dream and the dream is a dream of another dream...

One thing that I want to beg local movie makers to improve is the sound effects when the characters brawl... "Dush! Bosh! Dish! Dosh!"... Damn, they don't sound real at all... The fake punching sounds really ruined the movie for me a bit...

All in all, this movie is awesome in terms of story... It started a bit slow, but once it shifted its gears, the story got more and more interesting as there are many twists and mindfucks...

4 out of 5 stars
