I love Counter Strike and I have been playing the game since I was in secondary school when it first came out. I can still remember how when I first started, I would often play with my brother. Well, not in the same team but we literally played together where he would control the mouse to shoot and I controlled the movements using the keyboard.
Now, I'm 30 years old. Though I haven't played the game in ages because I currently don't own a gaming PC and the latest version of CS which is the Global Offensive a.k.a CSGO requires a powerful one to run, but I never really give up on gaming.
I'm hoping that someday, I can buy a PC and start gaming again. Probably when my kids are all grown up and no longer require too much attention.
I always wonder how it would be when that time comes.
Welp, I don't have to imagine no more because now I have an idea how I would look like in a few decades.
Guys, meet the Silver Snipers! They are a Swedish CSGO team and their youngest member is aged 62 while the oldest is 81.
Look at them! Those wrinkly faces and gray hair. Wow. I inspire to be just like them when I am older. A lot older. Haha. And that is no joke. I won't probably go pro like them but I would definitely want to do a lot of gaming.
"What do you want to do after you retire?" Well, I want to play games. Yeah, I really do.
Their nicknames are adorable. BirDie, Teen Slayer, Knitting Knight, Berra-Bang and Windy. Argh, they're so awesome.
Though the Silver Snipers is currently not ready to go up against other pro teams, but they are actually doing rather good (for their age). With a play time of between 80 - 100 hours and a coaching by the famous Counter Strike player Tommy "Potti" Ingemarsson, who has won the world championship in the game 10 times, I would say there might a chance for them to actually give some youngster teams some challenge.
Wow, I am now imagining myself playing CSGO with my grandchildren. Like, I would be a cool grandpa. Though by that time, the game has probably evolved into something much cooler. Probably virtual reality and stuff. I am truly excited about this.
