Huawei Y3II Smartphone

As I mentioned in a previous post, my wife bought me a new phone - Huawei Y3II, which I'm so grateful for because the one that I was using before were faulty. She bought it online through Lazada, an awesome site to buy stuff at reasonable prices, for only RM289.00. That's right, it's so cheap.

You can check out the full spec here

Okay, this phone is obviously humble in it's specs. However, the best thing about it is it rarely lags. Its small memory capacity - 8GB memory and 1GB RAM - restricts from installing many apps but no matter how low on memory it gets, this phone just doesn't lag. This is most certainly because of it's powerful Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and the Mediatek MT6582M chip. Therefore, I'm so in love with this phone.

Besides that, I like the fact that it's so small. I like to put my phone in my shirt pocket, so the small size is a pro for me. I also love how it looks. It's available in 5 colors; Obsidian Black, Arctic White, Sand Gold, Rose Pink, Sky Blue. I chose to get the Sand Gold version because it looks so extravagant and classy. An extra Sky Blue colored back cover is given together just in case I'm in the mood to change how it looks.

An extra back cover is given

One of the complaints of this phone is the internal memory and RAM capacity that is too small. I love to try a variety of apps but I can't install too many because of the lack of space. Besides that, I really want to upgrade to the latest Android Oreo or at least Nougat but I'm stuck with Lollipop because of compatibility issues.

However, I make do with what I have. The small memory doesn't really stop me from installing new stuff. I simply just install, try the new app then lastly uninstall it to make room for other apps I want to try. The OS issue is also not a big one as there are so many launchers I can get my hands on. Currently, I'm using Nova Launcher which is the most awesome launcher for Android.

The camera is almost potato quality - 5MP rear and 2MP front. Though, with the suitable lighting, it can still shoot decent pics like the ones below.

All in all, I'm in love with this phone. It's cheap, it rarely lags and it fits perfectly in my palm and pockets.
