"It's so bad... it's good?? NOT!!"
At first, judging from how awesome the trailer was, I thought that this movie could fit as one of my guilty pleasure movies like Terminator: Salvation... However, I was dead wrong... It was so bad, I kept thinking "I should have watched I Am Number Four instead..." in the middle of it...
STORY
Milton (Nicholas Cage) escaped from hell to save his grandchild from being sacrificed by a cult leader... His attempts were made difficult by the cult red neck followers... Besides that, standing in his way was The Accountant, a messenger of Satan who was on a mission to bring him back to the underworld... Sounds cool enough for u?
THE GOOD
William Fichtner
Acting as "The Accountant", Fichtner really delivered an amusing performance... He was relax, cool-headed, funny and at the same time, deadly... I love him...
3D
I'm not a big fan of 3D, but this one would make a good 3D movie... Even without the 3D feature, there were so many images that managed to jump out of the screen and hit me straight to the face...
Music
A good rock or metal music always revs up an action movie...
THE BAD
Nicholas Cage
Honestly, I like Nick Cage and most of his movies especially Lord of War... However, I have to say that this is his worse one... He failed to portray the cool element that was supposed to be present in Milton... I hated his perverted grin... Maybe Statham would have played it better... or even looked better as Cage's new hair piece was horrible...
Story
For the first few minutes, the movie looked kinda promising, especially when Amber Heard took the stage with her hot legs and ride... However, as the movie went on, the story became more complicated in a bad way, it messed up the momentum... A good action movie should have a simple story line with a bit of a twist...
Action
The action was all over the place... The shoot-outs were not well though of... I guess having red necks as extras in an action movie is not a good idea... Besides, shooting bad guys while having sex?? I've seen that before in Shoot'em Up (2007) staring Clive Owen...
Censorship
Again, censorship ruined my mood of watching... If you wanna cut out most of the good stuff, better to not show it at all... Arrghh!
As an overall, this movie sucks... The concept was great, but the delivery was too weak...
1.5 out of 5 stars...
